I love photography- although I have only taken it for a short while in high school, I am very inspired by pictures that are adventurous, romantic, nostalgic, mysterious, and creative- things which all make me happy.

I like these photos because I can see myself there- I hope to travel and have unending adventures like these pictures portray- they help inspire and motivate me for the future that I want to live where I surrounded by those kinds of fun experiences. These photos evoke a happy, sentimental feeling every time I look at them. I'm a romantic, so I enjoy romantic themes. Spontaneous images that capture emotional moments are inspiring as well.

The cinematography of movies inspire me as well-I'm a cinephile. I particularly like the surrealist style and dreamlike structure used by David Lynch, the dollhouse aesthetic employed by Wes Anderson, and Stanley Kubrick's hypnotic symmetric genius. Each of these directors have a strong sense of style and color, which I admire.

I love the iconic work of Barbara Kruger. By juxtaposing a picture with text, she creates a whole new meaning containing criticism of materialism, sexism, and power. I like images that challenges beliefs and makes us think in a different perspective. I love controversy!

Photography/Cinematography is very important to me- I post images and quotes that inspire me daily in my blog on Tumblr.
